VOX Cinemas, the dedicated cinema arm of Majid Al Futtaim, has unveiled a significant upgrade to its THEATRE experience at the Mall of the Emirates, furthering its commitment to providing patrons with premium cinema experiences.
This enhancement encompasses the four THEATRE screens within the 24-screen cinema at the Mall of the Emirates in Dubai – the largest cinema location operated by VOX in the UAE.
Guests at THEATRE can now enjoy access to the exclusive redesigned Private Lounge featuring a billiards table, shuffleboard, and stylish seating options, as well as décor inspired by the world of cinema, including film memorabilia and walls adorned with digital posters from iconic movies, providing a perfect space for socializing or enjoying a meal before or after the show.
The revamped THEATRE also boasts a complete transformation of the auditoriums, featuring enhanced seating with additional legroom, privacy screens between neighboring seats, and heated recliners. Each seat is equipped with a wireless charger, a swivel table, and personal lighting, ensuring maximum comfort and convenience. VOX Cinemas has announced the launch of its new menu at THEATRE, its luxury cinema concept. The new menu, curated by master chefs to elevate the in-cinema dining experience after extensive customer research and trial-based studies that focused on food variety and convenience, is now available at all THEATRE locations in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
With more than 20 mouth-watering dishes on offer, including vegetarian and vegan options, the contemporary menu features a range of mouth-watering dishes, such as Dynamite Shrimps; freshly picked Falafel Salad; oven-baked Roasted Fig & Goat’s Cheese Flat Bread; irresistible Pepper Beef Skewers; vegetarian-friendly Impossible Meat Sliders; and chicken-stuffed Theatre Tacos, along with a variety of handcrafted desserts and a bubbling selection of signature mocktails.

VOX Cinemas opened its largest cinema in Oman at the newly launched Mall of Oman in Muscat on 1st September 2021. The 15-screen cinema, with a total of 1471 seats, features IMAX, Gold and Kids concepts.
The three Gold cinemas at VOX Cinemas – Mall of Oman is the cinema exhibitor’s first luxury offering in the Sultanate, with an adjoining VIP Lounge offering moviegoers a luxurious and diverse menu of popular and modern flavors presented in signature VOX style.

The VOX Cinemas CTRL experience marks the latest innovation by the cinema exhibitor and gives audiences real-time collaborative influence over the plot of the movie.
VOX Cinemas, the dedicated cinema arm of Majid Al Futtaim, has introduced CTRL, the region’s first interactive movie experience which lets the audience collectively decide how the plot unfolds. The latest innovation from VOX Cinemas in partnership with entertainment and tech company, Kino Industries, launched across the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 5 August 2021.
VOX Cinemas CTRL will be showing Late Shift, the world’s first interactive feature-length film, which enables cinemagoers to decide the fate of the lead character and the course of the movie using a simple voting system on an App. During the screening of the high stakes action thriller, which has countless storylines consisting of 180 decision points and 7 alternative endings, the audience typically makes 40-50 choices, while the cutting-edge and seamless technology aggregates the votes and chooses the most popular option. Late Shift was directed and co-written by Tobias Weber – an award-winning filmmaker and a Co-Founder of Kino Industries, and Michael Robert Johnson – author of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes. The critically acclaimed movie was awarded the 2018 BAFTA Cymru Award.

VOX Cinemas launched a state-of-the-art multiplex at The Spot – Sheikh Jaber in Riyadh on 19 May 2021.
