VOX Cinemas Announces Collaboration with Michelin Star Chef Akira Back

Michelin star chef Akira Back partners with VOX Cinemas for a special menu for its luxury cinema concept –THEATRE

 

VOX Cinemas, the dedicated cinema arm of Majid Al Futtaim, the leading shopping mall, communities, retail and leisure pioneer across the Middle East and Africa, has announced a partnership with Akira Back, world-renowned Michelin star chef. The highly-anticipated culinary collaboration, which launches in the United Arab Emirates in September, will see the global restauranteur curate a special menu for THEATRE, VOX Cinemas’ luxury cinema concept, so moviegoers can enjoy an unparalleled dining experience.

Guests at THEATRE can expect a modern Japanese menu which features a dynamic combination of Akira Back’s signature dishes as well as culinary creations exclusive to VOX Cinemas. Famed for his sense of adventure and creativity, Akira Back has enjoyed an illustrious career bringing his culinary expertise and artistry across the globe, with a portfolio of critically acclaimed restaurants and lounges in destinations like Beverly Hills, San Diego, Seychelles North Island, Toronto, Singapore, Seoul, Dubai and more.

 

Akira Back collaborates with VOX Cinemas

 

VOX Cinemas’ THEATRE combines film with fine food and provides guests with the option of dining in an exclusive private lounge area or having their food delivered straight to their seat through the in-theatre waiter service. Redefining the luxury cinema experience, THEATRE boasts reclining leather seats, plush blankets and pillows and cutting-edge audiovisual technology in a stylish and intimate setting.

The menu by Akira Back will be available at VOX Cinemas across the United Arab Emirates in September before being rolled-out across Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait later in the year. The official launch dates will be announced closer to the time.

30 sec. on-screen ad was booked to screen on the premium screens at Reel Cinemas (The Dubai Mall) VOX Cinemas (City Centre Mirdif, Mall of the Emirates, Marina Mall Abu Dhabi and Yas Mall – Abu Dhabi), Roxy Cinemas (The Beach) and Oscar Cinema (Al Wahda Mall) for a period of 4 weeks – 20th September to 17th October 2018.

 

 

Off-Screen Advertising

A sampling stand was set up in the concourse area of Reel Cinemas – The Dubai Mall (in close proximity to the premium screens) over weekends 20th – 22nd September and 27th – 29th September 2018, and at VOX Cinemas – Mall of the Emirates (in close proximity to the lounge area of Theatre by Rhodes) over weekends 4th – 6th October and 11th – 13th October 2018.
