The opening of Jeddah Park marks VOX Cinemas’ third cinema in Jeddah and 17th location in KSA
VOX Cinemas, the dedicated cinema arm of Majid Al Futtaim, opened its 17th location in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Jeddah Park Mall on June 4, 2024.
Centrally located in Jeddah Park, Aziziyah – a one-stop destination for retail and entertainment – the 13-screen multiplex features two GOLD screens, one IMAX® with Laser screen, and a Private Cinema.
The latest cinema is fully designed for movie lovers, with premium reclining seating that provides unparalleled comfort, so audiences can kick back, relax, and enjoy the magic of movies. The location also features the latest in cutting-edge technology, providing stunning visuals and crystal-clear audio for a truly immersive experience.

A specially curated menu by Saudi chef Mona Mosly was launched by VOX cinemas on Saudi National Day.
VOX Cinemas has announced a culinary collaboration with Chef Mona Mosly which will see the female Saudi Chef elevate the in-cinema dining experience with a specially curated menu.
Moviegoers in Saudi Arabia can now enjoy more than 20 signature dishes at GOLD, VOX Cinemas’ luxury cinema concept, and Candy Bar.
Chef Mona Mosly is one of the region’s most recognisable celebrity chefs due to her role as host and judge on five series of the TV phenomenon Top Chef Middle East. She has extensive experience in culinary art, having trained professionally in Switzerland before attending the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu in London and subsequently honing her craft at esteemed restaurants across the Middle East.
Known for her catchphrase, ‘From My Heart to Yours’, Chef Mona injects passion into every dish and her exclusive menu for VOX Cinemas aims to evoke memories through flavour while featuring her creative take on classic dishes. Highlights on the menu, which has been specially tailored for the cinematic experience, include Saudi Fish & Chips, Mona Shawarma, Khubz Mhalla and Rose Kakadeh.

Chef Mona is the latest high-profile chef to collaborate with VOX Cinemas. Most recently Michelin-starred chef Akira Back curated a menu for VOX Cinemas’ THEATRE across UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar.
Chef Mona Mosly’s menu will be available exclusively at VOX Cinemas The Kingdom Centre, and The Esplanade in Riyadh before being rolled out to additional locations including Sahara Mall, Riyadh, and Red Sea Mall, Jeddah.

Mobily – Saudi Arabian telecommunications company, recently booked an integrated cinema campaign with Motivate Val Morgan for its 5G connection services in Saudi Arabia.
The on-screen component of the campaign included two 15 sec. commercials booked for a period of 3 weeks: Mobily 5G Family – which screened from 22nd October to 2nd November 2020 and Mobily 5G Prepaid – which screened from 3rd to 11th November 2020.
The commercial was booked at the following Motivate Val Morgan serviced locations in KSA:
VOX Cinemas: Red Sea Mall, West Avenue Mall, Atyaf Mall, Sahara Mall and Riyadh Front
Muvi Cinemas: Nakheel Mall (Riyadh), Nakheel Mall (Dammam), Haifa Mall and Mall of Arabia
AMC Cinemas: KAFD, Panorama Mall and Al Khair
The off-screen component included the distribution of leaflets containing information on Mobily Air Fiber 5G at VOX Cinemas – Sahara Mall over the weekend of 5th – 7th November 2020.
Promoters were hired by the brand to oversee and assist with handing out leaflets to cinemagoers walking out of the auditoriums.

The off-screen component included a sampling activity at VOX Cinemas – Red Sea Mall, Riyadh Front and West Avenue Mall over the weekend of 12th – 14th December 2019.
Promoters were hired by the brand to oversee the 3-day sampling activity at the respective cinema locations, and to assist with the distribution of chocolates to cinemagoers walking out of the auditoriums at which the brand’s on-screen ad was playing.

The off- screen component included an advertisement (of the same content) on the LED screen at the entrance of VOX Cinemas – Riyadh Park from 12th December 2019 to 8th January 2020.

McVitie’s – British snack food brand, recently booked an integrated cinema campaign with Motivate Val Morgan – through Arab Reach Media Services, for the launch of Digestive Nibbles Hobnobs in Saudi Arabia.
The on-screen component included a 20 sec. ad which screened for a period of 4 weeks (17th November to 14th December 2019) at VOX Cinemas – Red Sea Mall, Al Qasr Mall, and The Roof.
The off-screen campaign – which included a sampling activity, was executed at the above mentioned VOX locations. Phase 1 of the campaign ran from 21st to 23rd December 2019 and Phase 2 ran from 28th to 30th December 2019.
Promoters were hired by the brand to oversee the 6-day sampling activity at the respective cinemas and to assist with the distribution of Digestive Nibbles to cinemagoers walking out of the auditoriums at which the brand’s ad was screening.
A sampling activation is a great way to engage cinema audiences when launching a new product into the market.

Double Delights Sampling Activity at VOX Cinemas
Etihad Airways – the second-largest airline in the UAE, and the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi booked a one-of-a-kind 3D Mapping cinema campaign – through Spark Foundry (Starcom), at VOX Cinemas Red Sea Mall (Jeddah) in Saudi Arabia.
Campaign Objective:
To promote Abu Dhabi as a destination in Saudi Arabia by using innovative and immersive means of advertising within a cinema environment.
Idea:
The idea behind the campaign was to make use of ‘Projection Mapping’ technology inside the cinema – creating an immersive experience for cinemagoers.
Methodology:
The projection was executed on the main cinema screen along with two side screens (both left and right) to create a screen extension.
Sides of the theatre were covered with a piece of unique fabric to make sure the resolution of the projection matched the quality, look and feel of the main screen.
Four high-grade projectors were used for this activation.
*TAKELEAP – technology agency dedicated to creating sensational experiences, was the production company for this execution.
Content:
Etihad selected four destinations in Abu Dhabi – Ferrari World, Saadiyat Island, Warner Bros and a restaurant, to show a day in Abu Dhabi from a tourist perspective.
The filming – shot in 4K quality, was done over a 2-3 week period at the above mentioned locations and was stitched together to align with the projection mapping and to fit the extended screen.
This first ever 3D mapping cinema campaign in the Middle East ran for a period of one month (between February and March 2019), during evening shows on all days of the week. No statistics were generated for this campaign, however, element of surprise lasted throughout the duration of the campaign.

Lexus worked with VOX Cinemas in Saudi Arabia and UAE to promote their partnership with Sony Pictures as the official vehicle of the Men In Black: International film, which released across cinemas on 20th June 2019.
A car display was booked to exhibit at VOX Cinemas – Red Sea Mall (Jeddah) during the ‘premier’ of the movie. Additionally, a 30 sec. on-screen ad was also included as part of the Lexus package from VOX Cinema – which screened during the two premier sessions at Red Sea Mall.
A car display was also booked to exhibit at the premier of Men in Black: International in the UAE at VOX Cinemas – Mall of the Emirates, and remained on display till Monday 1st July 2019.
The team at Motivate Val Morgan assisted Lexus in getting their on-screen material – which screened at the premier, approved by GCAM in Saudi Arabia (on short notice) and also connected Lexus with VOX Cinemas in order to successfully plan and execute the car display during the premier of Men in Black: International at VOX Cinemas – Red Sea Mall and Mall of the Emirates.

VOX Cinemas opened its fourth location in KSA at The Roof in Riyadh on Thursday 14th March 2019.
The cinema features 8 screens with a total seating capacity of 558 seats, and includes a Kids screen – dedicated to young movie fans.
In addition to its signature Candy Bar, VOX Cinemas – The Roof also offers a range of F&B options such as a specialty Nutella bar, Pizza Al Taglio — a new concept serving freshly baked pizza slices, and Kitchen 35 — a grab-and-go café serving coffees, juices, sandwiches, salads and pastries.
VOX Cinemas presently operates a total 39 screens – 27 in Riyadh and 12 in Jeddah, and according to its country manager for Saudi Arabia – Mohamed Al-Hashemi, the cinema chain aims to have 110 operational screens in the Kingdom by the end of 2019.

Wego – travel search website and mobile application, recently booked a cinema campaign (in collaboration with VisitBritain) through Motivate Val Morgan at Reel Cinemas (UAE), VOX Cinemas (KSA) and AMC Cinemas (KSA).
An engaging off-screen ‘Foyer Display’ embedded with augmented reality technology was installed at Reel Cinemas – The Dubai Mall in UAE from Wednesday 27th February to Thursday 5th March 2019.
Technique:
When a cinemagoer stands in front of the screen, the image of the cinemagoer, together with a background of one of Britain’s most iconic sites (Buckingham Palace, Big ben, etc.) would display on the screen.
Objective:
To encourage cinemagoers to search, compare and book a trip to Britain through Wego.
A similar display was also set up at VOX Cinemas – Riyadh Park Mall in Saudi Arabia from Monday 11th March to Sunday 17th March 2019.
Additionally, two Arabic on-screen ads were booked to screen at VOX Cinemas – Riyadh Park Mall and Red Sea Mall (Jeddah) and AMC Cinemas – KAFD (Riyadh) from Thursday 14th March to Wednesday 20th March 2019.
The first ad – which screened for a period of 3 days, features two female actors posting a video of themselves against the backdrop of one of the most cherished British icons – the Big Ben.
The second ad – which screened for a period of 4 days, features a male actor driving along Britain’s countryside when his friend unexpectedly appears by the side of his window.
